Since its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 6, 1994 (SEC Registration No. ANO94-000057) as a non-stock, non-profit, organization, SIKAP/ STRIVE Inc. continues to explore ways emerging issues affect agricultural policy and vice versa, focusing especially on:

o Expanding farmers' access to the resources they need to create sustainable livelihoods by providing

techno-managerial assistance to existing local organizations

o Advocating for economic policies through research on grains, high-value commercial crops, livestock,

fisheries, and other agribusiness enterprises that maximize farmers' economic opportunities

o Building a knowledge base on effective strategies for agricultural development by forging partnerships

and establishing linkages among national agencies, NGOs, private, and international institutions

SIKAP / STRIVE Inc. incorporates the principles of a learning organization by building strategic partnerships that enhance field-based operations. Aside from providing technical and financial support to graduate and undergraduate scholars engaged in development research, it also provided the initial financial and technical assistance to operationalize the Society's Transformation and Enrichment for Truth (STET) paradigm which uses values education to strengthen the capacity and leadership of students engaged in community service.
